Painter, printmaker, poet - Su-Li Hung was born in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, in 1947. She graduated from National Taiwan University with a degree in Art and Chinese Literature. In 1970 Hung moved to New York City to study painting and printmaking at The Art Students League and The National Academy School of Fine Art. 

Su-Li Hung is a member of the Society of American Graphic Artists (SAGA).  She has been awarded two Gold Medals by the Audubon Artist Annual Juried Exhibitions; Delta National Small Prints Exhibition, Purchase Prize; three awards from the SAGA Annual Juried Exhibitions; Silvermine Guild 24th National Print Exhibition, The Boston Printmakers Exhibition, Graphic Prize; among others.  

Hung has published thirty-one books in Taiwan and Hong Kong. These include books of short stories, poetry, and essays. Recently she authored and illustrated two children’s books.

Her work is in the Collections of The Cleveland Museum of Art, Cleveland, OH; The Fogg Museum, Harvard University, Cambridge, MA; Library of Congress, Washington, DC; The British Museum, London, England; New-York Historical Society, NY; Newark Public Library, Newark, NJ; Boston Public Library, MA; National Museum of Fine Art, Vietnam; among others.
